I moved to Atlanta nearly 4 years ago for a job. I left that job and started working for non profits. I don’t make a ton of money but I kind of get by and more importantly, I love my job. My family lives in south Florida and I don’t get to see them often. My birthday was this week and the weekend before that was a huge professional milestone for me.
My brother is bringing my mother to Atlanta this weekend to see a baseball game. They will not be visiting me on this trip despite the fact that no one has ever visited me and they are so close.
They don’t care to see the life I created.
Sometimes family means nothing.

I am getting old and haven’t been keeping up with technology and I am going to lose my fucking mind if I can’t figure out this Microsoft Project bullshit. All I have to do is send in a report and a timeline and I am done with this job. Why won’t you let me be done with this job, universe?!
